Welcome! We are a high school robotics team from St. Joseph's Catholic High School located in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada.

Team 4525 Renaissance Robotics, provides the opportunity for students to learn about science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) in a real-world problem solving setting. The team is part of FIRST Robotics Competition and is supported entirely by community sponsorship and mentors, who generously give our team their time and resources so that our 60+ student team can be part of FIRST each year.

What's In a Name?

The Renaissance was an era of revival, intellectual and artistic achievement and ingenuity. It was a time that valued discovery and creative thought in all of the arts and sciences. The Renaissance admired past innovations and sought to further intellectual inquiry. It especially valued learning, developing the whole person and diversity in interests and abilities.

Our team values the collaborative fusion of science, art, and technology - making the "Renaissance" a natural fit for our team name! This is what FIRST is all about!

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a global organization that promotes teamwork, professionalism and collaboration among students and engineers. FIRST helps students to learn about science and technology through robotics competitions. The guiding principle of FIRST lies in "Gracious Professionalism" which is at the heart of each team.
